Why is lucky charms cereal so expensive

I have been to Tesco often enough that I have started to pick up on some trends. They have smaller proportions of stuff, you are not going to find five pounds of ground beef in one package in the UK. Soad is not that big here. Unlike in the United States where we have three dozen options of soda to select from. The only thing that I have actually cared about is the Lucky Charms. They are a staple of my childhood and my adult life.

With all of the magical charm marshmallows and those alphabet looking cheerios they are one of my favorites. The only problem is the very, very steep price for a box. At a whopping five and half pounds, and I wish I was referencing the weight. And as any curious person would I decided to investigate. From what I could tell there are a few issues with the cereal itself. Many have complained about the genetically modified corn used in the cereal. That might have to do with the high price inflation.

The cereal was not only a limited edition release but also had an "amiibo" function that gave perks to whose who played Super Mario Odyssey on Nintendo Switch. You could scan the box with your controller and your perk would appear on the screen as an addition to your game.

These days, it might be better to go without any perks as the cost is no longer worth the reward. The cereal box was produced back in , but these days it is worth more than the few dollars it would have cost you back then. It is said that less than five of these boxes still exist, so it is truly a deal even without the treasured cereal inside.

You might not be willing to cough up the cash, but many cereal collectors are dying to have this. This box originally carried marshmallows and fruit-flavored cereal bits and was the fourth cereal released by this company. It was produced for eight years, starting in , and the werewolf mascot even made appearances in a few of Quentin Tarantino's movies.

You might not see the joy in it, but there are several people out there with their pocketbooks open who are ready to pay this high price. This might not be an entire box, but that doesn't matter because this cornflake was given its own spectacular home. The flake was discovered in by a teenage girl who thought it resembles the great state of Illinois which is America's second-largest producer of corn. Now, this was against eBay's food policy, but they could sell a coupon instead.

This cereal box is so rare that a price has not been given for the sale of one of these boxes. It never officially hit the shelves and only a few sample boxes were ever created and given to select customers. Ralston, the cereal company, never went through with the release back in , which is why this box is coveted by so many collectors.

If you are old enough to remember the fact that like that Mariah Carey Christmas song the cereal was really overlooked when it was actually available in the UK originally, and it's mythical status has only developed since then you'll probably still think it's a little overpriced. The main item for the review really is s'mores crunch which is based around marshmallow again, but with some crunchy bits added in.

And if you enjoy the always cheap to produce maze spoiler - right, right, left, left, right then Buddy has you covered. The art does suggest the you should be setting the cereal on fire to toast the tiny marshmallows serving suggestion.
