Comment by ReDeemer After you obtained the seal of ascension the door will open automaticly when you walk to it, you don't need to wear the ring in your ring sockets Comment by UBRS isn't this the place that Leeeeeeeeeroyyyyyyyyyyy Jeeeeeeeeeenkins did that legendary ninja pull?
Damn yeah i bow before that guy i only made to do stuff such as his when i was soloing the stockades with my lvl 70 hunter. Just sent pet inside all the instances mobs and then ran out cuz i saw a bloody army comin towards me :P. Comment by humungus All the male Trolls in this instance have had their models replaced with the bulkier body type like the trolls in ZA. Comment by It seems our prayers have been answered. The ritual objects that used to require 3 players to activate in Blackrock Spire and Uldaman now only require 1.
You no longer need quintessence to summon Majordomo Executus. You no longer need the Scepter of Celebras to teleport to the final section of Maraudon. You no longer need the Mallet of Zul'Farrak to summon Gahz'rilla. The Scepter and Mallet both turn into actual weapons. I for one am rather happy about this, meaning I can finally start soloing Drak- I -will- have full dreadmist! Comment by any warrior lvl 80 tried and managed to solo?
Comment by Umm not sure who this is meant for but I just found the two handed Epic sword Destiny inside the lower blackrock spire and its not listed as a drop. The 3 man summoning pyrogard only need 1 to do the process. Drakkisath also can be beaten by lvl 80 arms warrior in tanking gear :O First make sure to clean the patrol in the room cuz they will see you fighting Drakkisath, then kill one of his guards, he ll do you the Conflagrate ability on you. I couldnt nor miss nor resist it, but with lifebloom and enraged regeneration i make him down easy to 7,6k hp on me.
Comment by aleols In 3. Seal of Ascension is now only usable for getting aid from Vaelastrasz during the Rend fight. Comment by Any idea why I cant get to section 2? I can go into the 1st door on the right to go into UBRS. Once I get into the room dragonspire hall, but when I get to the door at the end to go down into the section 2 area before Pyroguard Emberseer, it is closed and I cant figure out how to open it. I tried killing everyone in the room. I tried equipping the seal of ascension ring, which is supposed to be no longer required WTB time with your Time Machine!
Overall, a very good experience and I would love to see the look on somebody's face as I show a screenshot of my raid group killing Ragnaros in Molten Core. Comment by Ruhler I was confused for awhile and didn't find an answer to this so for anyone wondering how to enter this, after you go into Blackrock spire, and turn left towards the upper area there is a closed door. It will open when you kill all the orcs in the little side rooms surrounding the door.
And of course you don't need that ring anymore, nor more than 1 person to clear out this instance. Comment by Ok, ive got the Seal of Ascension, but whenever i go up to the door, it dosn't open, do i need to be in a raid, or is it just glitchy?
Thankfully, at this level, it's possible to ignore a large portion of the earlier enemies, due to the low aggro radius, and there is a huge shortcut you can take almost at the beginning.
It's easy to be put off this Dungeon at first as the multi-leveled and twisting turning layout of it can be confusing, but stick with it and it starts to make sense.
From the start, run into the hall, ignoring the mobs on each side, and head up the stairs to the right. Go through the door, to a dead end with a small drop into the next room. Drop down here, down the ramps to the left, and through the door to the left, ignoring mobs. You will probably have to clear one Scarshield Legionnaire and a Spellbinder but that's it. As you pass through this corridor, you will enter a large relatively open hall with pillars, ravines, bridges and so on, called Hordemar City.
Immediately when you enter here, turn right, and look down, to see a burning river of magma. At the extreme right of this, against the wall, is a ledge, that is an easy jump, then another, lower ledge, which will in turn lead you right down to the Firebrand area with all their little tents and stuff.
When you get down to the Firebrand area, there will be up to two patrols of 2 mobs, which are an easy clear, then you have to clear a side of the corridor to travel down. While you are here, if you are a Blacksmith, remember to check the Human Remains near the magma river. The key to success here, as most plate wearers should know anyway, is to absolutely gank the caster classes ASAP - you will be dealing with Invokers Fire Damage and Darkweavers Shadow Damage.
Get them dead while the Grunts hammer uselessly at your miles of plate, and then put them down. After this corridor, you have the relatively easy Skitterweb Tunnels - I would just suggest killing the small spiders before the large, because if you do it the other way around, you WILL get overwhelmed. I scraped through one very rough fight with maybe 16 fresh adds before I figured this out.
At 65, you should be able to go right round the back of Mother Smolderweb without her aggroing - you really don't want to do the rest of the Dungeon with her annoying Mothers Milk poison effect on you, although it can be cured or prevented easily enough.
But if you are trying for the Mothers Milk Quest, then you want to be able to come back to her to intentionally get poisoned last thing before you HS out. Climbing up out of the Tunnels, you can kill about 1 - 3 ogres, then hop up and past the rest to your left. You may or may not be able to sneak past the Scorpids in the next corridor, they are easy kills, but twice I have had Bloodaxe Raiders and Worgs add when fighting them. Just be careful.
Up the next ramp, go right, and you can, if you need to, go kill Halcyon and catch a Worg Pup, by going to the end of the corridor ignore everything to your left, a worthless boss and dead end basically , or you can just go up the next ramp to your right, into Blackhand Hall. As usual, Casters must die first, no matter what. After here, you'll enter the final area, and there will be about 5 - 7 mobs you must clear to progress. They will hold a sample of all the different enemies from the Spire - trolls, orcs and ogres.
Shouldn't give you too much hassle really, as long as you prioritise your targets effectively and heal up between fights. It went right to the nail, and I think I got lucky with the adds, because when he called his two helpers two random orcs , they seemed to take forever to arrive. I took him from 17k to 3k before they actually got involved, and then it was a case of putting him down and turning on them. Even still, it was damn close - I had potioned up, activated Last Stand, Shield Wall, and my Talisman of Arathor, and it had all dropped again and I still had both of them to kill.
What saved me was a very very timely Intimidating Shout - both adds ran off for 5 seconds, and I managed to quickly bandage from about HP up to before they got back.
Shield Block and Revenge, and they died. I knew it was coming, but I expected to go back at a shallow angle. What he actually does it punt you way up in the air, and the fall damage is brutal.
Get yourself stuck under a rock or overhang or something for this fight, and save yourself some pain. Achievement won, Letter found, missions either complete or partially complete, and once you've come this far, almost anything earlier in the Dungeon is a breeze, and can be done at a leisurely pace.
I went through it backwards to kill the other bosses, only missing out on summoning Urok - just can't manage 10 elites in a row, half of them casters, without a party : Anyway, I've rambled on long enough, but I genuinely enjoyed this Dungeon, as it was challenging, but not to the point of stupidity, and to manage it yourself like that is very satisfying. Plus, it would seem these days, there is little choice - I had spent a fortnight LFG for LBRS and it's the same old story - who does classic stuff any more these days?
Go rock the 'Spire people :. Comment by one thing i did not see mentioned was that to open the door to the second part you need to clear the entire first room.
Comment by Easy solo, both sides, on an 80 frost mage. I would go frost for any soloing because of bubble. Just take it one group at a time and it will pose no problem.
Comment by cheesepizza If you look carefully, there is a skeletal hand lying near a river of lava, this could be a reference to Terminator 2. Comment by Blackriver If you want to solo the upper portion of this dungeon and have no healing abilities, I highly suggest you still grab the Seal Of Ascension as it will grant you a 91k heal yes, 91k every 3 minutes during the coliseum event with Warchief Rend Blackhand at the end and will save non-healing classes many consumables.
Comment by Thottbot I'm not going to mention anything about skinning. UBRS has humanoid and dragon mobs, mostly elites, although there are some none elite mobs the eggs in the rookery spawn non elites when broken. This is a fairly easy instance, with 15 people but you do have to take your time and be a bit careful.
It normally takes me about 2 to 3 hours to complete. I would recomend people being level 58 or above before going to this instance, but I have taken a maximum of one level 57 per run. My favourite group setup includes: 2 priests 1 druid 1 warlock 2 mages 2 warriors 2 paladins 2 hunters 2 rogues 1 keyholder What I've found, is between sheeping, sapping, sleep, and freezing traps Plus, you havn't more than 3 of any class counting the keyholder and when it comes to class set items, this makes people happier.
I've not done the UBRS key quest myself Comment by Thottbot To get the worg pups you have to go pretty far into LBRS after Urok Doomhowl and after a bunch of scorpions and you fight 2 big ass wolves, the worg pups are with the 1st wolf and then the 2nd wolf comes in after you drop the first 1.
Very simple. Then you need to talk to a guy in LBRS to get the quest that allows you to form the key. Then there more stuff in Dustwallow Marsh to complete the key for alliance anyway. UBRS is possable 5 man, but it's really damn hard. Hope that clarifies up most things. Commander Tharbek : There is some rubble on the west end of the room. Climb it to a balcony over The Rookery. There are two doors leading north from the balcony that take you to the Hall of Blackhand.
Lots of mobs there that drop good gold and some iLvl 43 greens, so make some cash working your way to the east end of the hall. Parallel stairs take you up to a landing, then on to a balcony overlooking Blackrock Stadium. The balcony is a dead end, but there are mobs that deserve to die and drop their gold. Go back down to the landing and turn left south. That takes you to a partially collapsed room. Turn left east there. Go down the stairs and turn left north again to enter the main floor of the stadium.
It starts an event and you have to fend off the attack. If you have the Damsels and Dragons quest from your Draenor garrison inn, you will find the Shed Proto-Dragon Claw at the far end of the room. Commander Tharbek shows up near the end of the fight.
You have to kill him if you want to live. A friendly blue dragon named Awbee showed up after the fight, but I could not interact with him. Supposedly, he's there to help fight.
DO NOT. You can get stuck in there and will have to port out of the instance. When you return to the instance, you will start in the Stadium, so that's a relief. Ragewing the Untamed : Head south to exit the room where you came in. In the following room, you can now turn left and go up a ramp, then turn right south.
This takes you to The Furnace. There are a bunch of Emberscale Whelplings in traps in here. If you open the traps, they will attack. Someone with skinning can get about 20 Raw Beast Hide from each trap. You need to open the trap next in the SW corner of the room to spawn Ragewing in the room to the right. It needs to be in the open condition.
If it closes, reopen it. Edit: I ran this again and opened no traps and Ragewing still appeared. But, if you turn left and go into the room beyond, you will find Son of the Beast standing in the far corner. He just drops g for me. Go back to the previous room and go to the far end heading west.
Two ogres guard a bridge and Ragewing is flying to the left of the bridge. The is Hordemar City. Attack Ragewing to initiate a series of three attacks by multiple Ragewing Whelps.
This happens even if its health is virtually zero. After the waves of attacks, it lands on the bridge so you can finish it off. This opens a door at the far west end of the bridge. For the Children! Quest : The doorway takes you to the Spire Throne where there are groups of trash mobs. On the left south side of the room is a Miniature Iron Star. It is a quest item for the Draenor garrison quest For the Children!.
The quest is given by Millhouse Manastorm at the garrison inn. Completing the quest rewards you with Millhouse as a level, purple-grade follower and a toy called Manastorm's Duplicator. Warlord Zaela : At the far, west end of the room is a short tunnel to The Molten Span where you will find Warlord Zaela standing on the far end of a platform.
Killing her results in the completion of the instance. Inexcusably, there is no quick way out of the instance. Either port out or walk all the way back through the maze of rooms. Orebender Gor'ashan — A powerful elementalist with a natural affinity for shaping and channeling his powers through metal, Gor'ashan was part of the Iron Horde vanguard in their initial invasion of Azeroth.
He bides his time waiting for further orders by attempting to unravel the secrets of the Dark Iron runes left behind by the Spire's creators. Kyrak — One of the last remaining survivors of Nefarian's twisted experiments, Kyrak was spared by the Iron Horde and tasked with finding ways to preserve and fortify the few Black Dragonflight eggs remaining in the Spire Rookery.
Iron Horde emissaries quickly struck a deal with the cunning dragon. Commander Tharbek — A cunning warrior of the Warsong clan, Tharbek was entrusted with the task of leading the expeditionary Ironmarch assault through the Dark Portal. Following Garrosh's instructions, he made his way to the home of the Blackrock orcs in Azeroth to rally forces for the next phase of the operation.
Ragewing the Untamed — Ragewing is a gargantuan proto-drake raised in the Twilight Highlands by the Dragonmaw clan. Her indomitable spirit has kept her from being broken and used as a mount, although she has formed a close bond with Warlord Zaela herself, following her to Blackrock Spire and roosting in its cavernous halls. Warlord Zaela — When Garrosh instructed the Ironmarch vanguard as to their mission in Azeroth, he urged them to rendezvous with an old ally whom he knew would be fierce, loyal, and thirsting for revenge: Zaela, Warlord of the Dragonmaw clan.
Now, as she readies a doomsday weapon in the heart of Blackrock Mountain, her moment of vengeance draws near. Please keep the following in mind when posting a comment: Your comment must be in English or it will be removed. Unsure how to post?

Once they are dead, the Hunter uses Feign Death to drop aggro, and Drakkisath will return to the room where the group can kill him. Once the General is back, just tank him facing away from the raid and burn him down. The other option without a Hunter is to just kill everything together.
You can tank everything together, cleaving down the guards, and blowing all of your cooldowns at the start of the fight. If needed you can have a Warlock use Fear on one of the guards while the group kills the remaining guard and Drakkisath. This is doable, but much more dangerous than the kiting strategy. If you choose to do this, make sure to focus and kill the adds before killing Drakkisath.
